An enrolled student walks up to a door and is verified by the Rock in under a second, using a 3D, liveness-checked scan processed on the device. Enrollment is opt-in and takes about a minute. The reader passes a standard credential to your existing access control system over Wiegand or OSDP.

What happens to a student's biometric data?

Enrollment converts a 3D facial scan into an encrypted, non-reconstitutable mathematical template — processed at the edge, on the device. No photos, names, or videos are stored on it, and a student can revoke consent and delete their template at any time.

This is facial authentication, not surveillance: a one-to-one check that an enrolled person is who they claim to be at a specific door. Nobody is identified in a crowd, and nobody participates without choosing to.

Because enrollment is opt-in, a badge fallback always remains at every door — students who decline are never locked out, and anyone who enrolls can revoke consent and delete their template whenever they choose.

    Is this facial recognition?

    No. Facial recognition scans crowds to identify people who never agreed to it. Facial authentication is the opposite: an opt-in, one-to-one match that verifies an enrolled person at a door — the biometric equivalent of presenting a badge, minus the badge.

    What happens to a student's biometric data?
